Rules For Buyers

Rules for Buyers on YourBrand.com

At YourBrand.com, we pride ourselves on providing a secure marketplace for brand buyers and sellers. When you work with us, we want your transactions to be as painless as possible. In order to do this, we have standard rules that apply to domains and brands that are purchased or sold through our site.

You can't do the following on YourBrand.com:

Interfere In Other Transactions

If you see another user trying to buy or sell a brand domain, you need to let them be. In the past, upset users have contacted potential buyers to influence them. Do not do this; if you have a problem with a seller, contact us directly.

Solicit Outside Sales

If a brand is listed on YourBrand.com, please do not attempt to broker a deal outside of our site. If you do this, we take it as an attempt to avoid our fee structure; this constitutes fraud and theft. We offer certain protections to our buyers and sellers; contacting people outside of our site is a risky and illegal proposition.

Outside solicitation includes, but is not limited to:

  • Using YourBrand.com's information to contact users and broker transactions outside of YourBrand.com.
  • Canceling listing agreements to sell to a buyer who became aware of a brand through YourBrand.com.

Purchase Trademarked Brands

As a buyer, it is your responsibility to fully research a brand before purchasing it. We can't always check to see if brands in our marketplace are subject to trademark or intellectual property protections. We do explicitly prohibit sellers from selling trademarked items; always do some research to guarantee that your purchase isn't currently protected.

What should you do if you find someone violating our rules?

If you find someone violating our rules, make sure to contact us as soon as possible:

1. Submit an email through our contact page.
2. Include any relevant information about the person you are reporting; this includes emails and any background information you have about them.
